Azusa's plastic surgery transformation at ID hospital

Azusa's plastic surgery transformation at ID hospital

Recently we had a patient from Japan who visited ID Hospital for a new look to gain more confidence in herself. Her plastic surgery transformation has been a hot topic for many people so we decided to have an interview with the lovely Azusa.

ID Hospital: What features were you most insecure about?
Azusa: I have a few features I don’t like in my face. I dislike my asymmetrical face, harsh eye shape, and my round and blunt nose shape

ID Hospital: Why did you choose ID hospital?
Azusa: ID hospital is also very well-known in Japan. I flew to Korea for a solution to my insecurities which was ID hospital. I've been really excited for my plastic surgery transformation for a very long time.

ID Hospital: What surgeries did you have?
Azusa: I had multiple different surgeries performed by four different Doctors. V-line surgery and cheekbone reduction by Dr. Jihyuk Lee, eye surgery by Dr. Inseok Hwang, nose surgery by Dr. Jaeho Choi, face lifting and fat grafting by Dr. Seougil Oh.

ID Hospital: How was your recovery?
Azusa: One the first week after surgery, I had a lot of swelling and bruising, especially on my chin and nose. It was difficult and uncomfortable but I was still able to tell that my facial shape and nose has slimmed down a lot compared to before. It was a really exciting moment when I realized that and made all the discomfort worth dealing with!

ID Hospital: How has the surgery changed your daily life in a positive way?
Azusa: One thing I really enjoy now is putting on makeup and getting ready for the day or to go out. Before the surgery, this process was quite depressing for me because of all the imperfections I had. Applying makeup now is a very fun process for me, and I can also pull off any outfit I wear! The self-confidence I needed has definitely boosted and thanks to that, my personality has also brightened up more.

ID Hospital: Has the people around you notice your changes?
Azusa: Yes definitely! I have been receiving so many compliments on how natural my results are and how pretty I look. I’ve also been going out more often with no makeup! I’ve been recommending ID to many people who have asking me.

ID Hospital: Any final words you want to add to our viewers?
Azusa: Not only did I become more beautiful after the surgery but it has also been therapeutic for my mind as well. I’m truly happy to have found ID hospital!

How do you know if you need plastic surgery?

As a human being, we can find many reasons why our lives aren’t the “perfect” life we envisioned for ourselves. We have all been there.

Just like there is no “MAGIC” pill for fat loss, surgery is not “MAGIC”.

It is the right thing for many people and not the answer for many.
So how can you evaluate whether you need surgery to improve your confidence?

Here are a few questions to ask yourself before going under the knife.

Why do you need this surgery?

Getting surgery is not only physical, there are psychological aspects to it too.

Have you figured out why you need to have surgery?

Bullying is not a good reason to get surgery. If you are getting bullied and think getting surgeries will stop the bullying, then you need to think again.

Get to the root of your emotional problems and when you are at a healthy positive place, and then you can consider getting surgery to be the best version of yourself.

Will this surgery impact your life positively?

Is it a long time insecurity of yours that needs fixing?

The hump on your nose, the double chin, wide jaw etc. are the only problems that need your immediate attention?

Will getting the surgery help you focus better in life and give you the positive energy you need to propel yourself forward?

Dig deep and find the answers.

How is your emotional health before surgery?

Everyone suffers at some point in their lives with a low self-esteem or low self-confidence; it is nothing to be ashamed of.

Working on your emotional health before surgery, and even getting some counseling before surgery can help you figure out if you are getting surgery for the right reasons.

Do not be harsh and overly criticize yourself for your looks, as they can be improved. Improving your attitude towards life and your emotion well being takes time, so make you’re your heart and mind are in the right place first.

Can you afford to have surgery?

Getting your finances in order is important, especially when considering surgery.

If planning to have surgeries overseas, financing options or credit card payments should not cause a strain on your financially after surgery.

You need that post-surgery time to rest and relax to heal well, so create a surgery budget and stick to it.

Will you have enough time, space and patience to heal?

Going into surgery with the right attitude is important. You have to understand that having surgery means your body needs time to heal.

People are impatient and start complaining, get scared or panicky right after surgery, not realizing that you need to be in the right frame of mind for proper healing.

Take time off work, have family or friends around you for emotional support and let your body heal. Follow all the instructions and maintain a positive attitude and you will find yourself one step closer to full recovery.

We care about your health and well being, so contact us anytime through social media or get an online consultation here.

Are you a candidate for ptosis correction surgery?

Ptosis is a condition that causes the upper eyelid to be droopy and covers part of the pupil. The droopy eyes makes a person look tired or sleepy, so ptosis correction surgery is required.

How to know if you are a candidate for ptosis correction surgery?

With the example below, her whole pupil is not visible on both eyes. Moreover, the level of droopiness varies in both her eyes.

She needs not only ptosis correction surgery, but additional blepharoplasty (double eyelid surgery) in order to remove the excess skin and fat in her eyelids.

There are many types of ptosis correction surgery, but if it is a cosmetic surgery, then the weakened levator muscles (levator aponeurosis) are the cause of the drooping eyelids.

The levator muscles are used to raise the eyelid, so when the muscles are weak, the eyes cannot be opened completely. A person could be born with weak levator muscles or the muscles can weaken due to age. Children who have ptosis tilt their heads backwards to be able to see well. This does not solve the problem.

If left untreated, as is the case with many patients, the forehead muscles are used to lift the eyes, which can cause a lot of strain, and wrinkles in the forehead area with time.

Surgery may be performed along with blepharoplasty, to get rid of the excess skin and fat, and have a proportional eyelid crease.

For patients who have ptosis, but prefer to have double eyelid surgery only, the results will not be satisfactory. The ptosis correction surgery is necessary to resolve the eyelid droopiness.

The ptosis level is determined by the distance between eyelid and pupil. For mild ptosis cases, non-incision surgery may be possible but for severe ptosis cases incisional surgery is recommended.

The surgeon has to examine you in person to know the ptosis level and surgery plan to correct it.

Contact us for more surgery information or make a post on online consultation here.

Can the facial width be reduced for perfect facial harmony?

The perfect facial proportion ratio is slightly different between Caucasians and Asians, with the latter preferring a shorter, sharper chin so the ratio reflects that difference. To alter the facial proportions, facial contouring surgeries are used like V-line surgery, zygoma reduction surgery, forehead reduction surgery etc.

Of particular interest, is the difference between the skeletal structure of Caucasian and Asians. Although many Asians do have wide cheekbones, they are not limited to Asians only, as some Caucasians also do have wide cheekbones.

Men have wider cheekbones than women, so zygoma reduction surgery is also a part of facial feminization surgery, to create a smoother, feminine facial contour.

Meet Jenni from New York, a 21 year old animation student. She decided to have V-line surgery, rhinoplasty, and breast augmentation surgeries at ID Hospital.

ID Hospital: It’s lovely to have you here. Please introduce yourself!
Jenni: I'm Jenni from New York. I am 21 years old and currently an animation student.

ID Hospital: Why are you having these surgeries? What do you hope to achieve?
Jenni: I'm looking to have a smoother and smaller doll looking face. I hope to feel more comfortable wearing any hairstyle and without using makeup. Sometimes I want to have short boy haircut but since my face is very 'bulky', I feel the need to hide the shape of my face with my hair.

Double Eyelids and Rhinoplasty surgeries at ID Hospital : Review

Nationality: Korean
Desired Surgery : Eyes, nose
Surgery performed: Skinny Incision Double Eyelid surgery, Soft-Mesh Rhinoplasty

I was always concerned with how low my nose bridge is, and I got fillers but I did not see much improvement. So I decided to go ahead and have rhinoplasty surgery! While I made the decision to have rhinoplasty, I also decided to go ahead and have double eyelid surgery too. I already had a line line, but I wanted thicker double eyelids, I wanted to have beautiful eyes!~

I decided to go for the surgery during the holidays~

2 months post-surgery

It has been 2 months since I have had surgery, not only am I extremely happy with the results, but everyone loves it. Everyone keeps asking me where did I get my double eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty done, and of course, I tell them it's ID Hospital! Everyone who knew me before the surgery say they barely recognize me, that I am a totally different person, and that makes me happy!

4 months post-surgery

Every photo I take is perfect from any angle! I totally am loving my surgery results, and as time goes, the minor swelling reduces and I still keep seeing progress. The best part about the soft-mesh rhinoplasty is the ability to move my nose around. With traditional rhinoplasty surgeries, people cannot move their nose around and that is usually an indicator that they had surgery. But this surgery is completely different, my nose looks natural and moves around naturally too!

7 months post-surgery

It has been 7 months already and I can barely remember what my old face looked like. I never imagined that a face can change so much with just 2 simple surgeries like Skinny Incision Double Eyelid surgerySoft-Mesh Rhinoplasty, but these surgeries have changed my life forever. I get compliments daily, and get compared to celebrities often.
I have recommended ID Hospital to all my family and friends, since I am so satisfied with my surgery results.
