A famous blogger Shey  is sharing her ID Hospital review after her surgeries by dr. Lee Jaejun.

ID Hospital: Could you please introduce yourself?
Shey: Hi, My name is Shey, and I’m a fashion and travel content creator from LA on instagram and youtube.

ID Hospital: What surgeries did you have in ID Hospital?
Shey: I did rhinoplasty, under eye fat repositioning, forehead fat grafting and double eyelid surgery by dr. Lee Jaejun. I had really small eyes, and my under eye were really bulging. It made me look more mature and tired all the time. I also used to have a flat forehead, so I felt that if I do my nose and don’t do forehead, it would look really odd and unbalanced, so I had it done together.

ID Hospital: How long have you been planning to get your surgeries for?
Shey: Ever since I was a kid I wanted to do rhinoplasty. I also knew I wanted to go to Korea, so after I found out about ID Hospital and saw the results on the internet I’ve decided that I definitely wanted to go there.

ID Hospital: Why did you choose Korea, not USA?
Shey: Seoul is the “plastic surgery capital”, and local surgeons know how to work with Asian features. I also like the natural looking effect after surgeries in Korea. I still wanted to look like myself, but better, so that’s why I chose Korea.

ID Hospital: Are your family members and friends supportive about your decision?
Shey: Yes, they are very supportive, and my husband travelled with me to support me during the recovery.

ID Hospital: Have you experienced any pain or encountered any difficulties during the recovery?
Shey: No, I haven’t actually experienced any pain, only bruising and swelling. I was able to go for a walk right after I got discharged from a recovery room. The best description I can say is that it feels like a recovery from a bad flu.

ID Hospital: Do you have any tips for patients who are planning to get surgery in ID?
Shey: Trust your doctor, trust your consultant, read a lot of articles. Remember, that every person has a different experience, so even though it wasn’t painful for me, but it can be painful for someone else. Take care of yourself prior to the surgery, exercise more and eat healthier food.

ID Hospital: Would you recommend ID Hospital to others and why?
Shey: Absolutely yes. From my experience, they have the best doctors and the hospital is amazing.

ID Hospital: Do you plan to get any other procedures in the future?
Shey: I’m very much contented with the way I look right now, maybe as I age I will get lifting, but right now I’ve very happy with the result.

Facial feminization surgery in Korea: 4 months post op real selfie story

Before the surgery

I'm Regina, and I came to Korea by my own to get multiple procedures. My main goals were prominent, "barbie-like" nose, slick jaw line and a smaller forehead to get a more feminine look. In addition, I decided to go with fat graft, acculift and lifting to maximize the feminization result.

I heard a lot about ID Hospital and I was amazed by the FFS results, so I went to Korea with no hesitation.

Consultation day

My doctors were Kim Il Hwan for Barbie Line rhinoplasty, Lee Tae Sung for forehead reduction and fat graft and acculift by Lee Kyung Min. I loved that  I had 3 surgeons separately for each individual surgery. The consultation went smoothly, the surgeons were very honest about the result I could achieve, and I really appreciated it.

After the surgery

The recovery phase went well, the hardest part was mouth breathing because of rhinoplasty. I haven't experienced much pain or inconvenience, the hospital staff was very helpful and attentive. ID's facial treatments and fancy lasers helped to reduce my swelling, and after I got my nose cast and stitches removed I was ready to get back to my daily life.

Before the surgery I had such a hard time when taking pics without hair extensions and make up , and I feel so much happier and more confident now. That was a life-changing decision!

ZEIT Magazine: ID Hospital experience

A famous magazine “Die Zeit” is considered to be one of the biggest and most reputable German newspaper and it’s known for its long history and extensive articles. One of its recent articles called “Glossier, Grander, Gangnam” is devoted to the topic of plastic surgery in Korea mentioning ID Hospital as one of the biggest plastic surgery clinics. The journalist of Zeit Magazine shared her ID Hospital experience.

“Floor 15 of ID Hospital is decorated in marble and pale pink, the soft strains of lounge music occasionally interrupted by the drone of the coffeemaker. Like all large clinics in Seoul, ID Hospital claims to be the number one when it comes to art of perfecting its patients’ external appearances. Outside the clinic’s broad windows, meanwhile, buildings are being torn down and rebuilt. Whatever isn’t yet beautiful here will be made beautiful.” – stated in Zeit’s article.

The article then describes the story of one of ID Hospital patients Ann Rithmyxay who underwent anti aging surgeries.  Ann received a lower blepharoplasty surgery last September from ID’s upper and lower blepharoplasty specialist  dr. Hwang In Seok and mini face lift by lifting specialist dr. Seo Young  Tae. She also shared her thoughts about ID Hospital experience:

“I wanted the best clinic,” says a woman waiting for her appointment in a cream-hued armchair. Her name is Ann Rithmyxay and she has traveled all the way from the U.S. for her upcoming operation, a present to herself for her 53rd birthday. Ten years ago, Rithmyxay says, she began suffering from depression and gained weight from the medication. Her face grew puffy, she says, and then started to sag as she aged.

She says she scrolled through Instagram looking at before-and-after photos from Korea and thought: “What if?” She would read testimonials from patients, closed the app and opened it again. Finally, after two years, she says, “I found the courage.” Rithmyxay booked a facelift, a flight and a hotel for her two-and-a-half-week trip, her first time in Seoul.

It doesn’t take long before an English-speaking marketing team comes to greet her in the lounge, women in rose colored outfits and heels. Hello, Annyeonghaseyo! They hand Rithmyxay a form about allergies and previous illnesses. Next to her, a patient who is also waiting for her appointment, asks: “What are you getting? You are so beautiful already!”

A consultant leads Rithmyxay into a small room with a flat-screen TV on which a Korean talent show is currently playing — slender women sitting with their legs crossed. On a wooden table, there are a hand mirror, magazines and a cranial bone. Now the time has come to talk about scars and medication, about how long the swelling will last and the aftereffects of general anesthesia. Following the procedure, the consultant says, she should breathe through her mouth so that the anesthetic gas can escape. Then, the consultant thanks Rithmyxay for her time and leaves. Two additional consultants then come in to talk about money. The entire procedure is to cost $11,000. Rithmyxay signs.”

3 months after double jaw, V line and double eyelid surgery in ID Hospital

Before surgery

I had a lot of insecurities about my face, and especially jaw. It's really hard to overcome it when you can't even laugh without worrying about how your face looks like.  I decided to get a plastic surgery and fix my jaw misalignment to gain more confidence.

My surgeons were Hyon Won Seok and Choi Jae Ho. They recommended me to combine double jaw surgery and V line surgery for my jaw, and also get a double eyelid surgery for a better dramatic change.

After surgery 

3 days after surgery

I experience the extreme swelling during first 3 days. I took medicine and went back to the hotel, and to be honest I worried a lot about my swollen face. The consultant said that it's ok, and recommended me some walking and drinking water to help deswelling.

1 week after surgery

Even though I was a little anxious about the way I looked, I got used to the swollen face. The recovery was uncomfortable, but I had a major surgery, so I just had to overcome it.

Around this time, the result of  double eyelid surgery became very beautiful.

1 month after surgery

I felt some inconvenience in the mornings when I woke up, but other than that, the pain seemed to be bearable. The swelling has gradually reduced.

2 months after surgery

At this time I could apply make up and I could see first permanent result from the surgery. My face looked much slimmer, and despite some swelling I started enjoying going out.

Before the surgery I used to apply heavy make up to hide my face. At 2 months point I've noticed that natural make up was enough for me to feel confident. I loved that feeling.

3 months after surgery

I'm looking forward to seeing my face gradually getting slimmer. The face shape changes from day to day, and it is very exciting.  I feel much happier compared to my life before the surgery. I can't say that recovery is easy, but in my case it changed my life positively 100%. Thank you, ID Hospital!

ID Hospital Review: Kitiana Interview

She had her surgeries on April 15th and after, we had a chance to interview her about her experiences here. She was able to answer some questions from our followers about her surgery experience and also gave some tips for anyone planning to get surgery at ID Hospital Korea!

ID Hospital: What surgeries did you have?
Kitiana: I had v-line, forehead reduction and face lift

ID Hospital: Why did you choose ID hospital?
Kitiana: I chose id hospital because they are the most well-known, and I’ve seen them the most growing up even before I decided to have any surgeries.

ID Hospital: Did your friends/family notice your changes?
Kitiana: Yes, they told me that they see a difference but in a very natural way. They liked how my main features still were there, just more enhanced. They were all excited about the results just like me.

ID Hospital: Do you think having those four surgeries at once was too much? Was the pain bearable?
Kitianaa: No I don’t think so. The pain was bearable. The first couple hours after the surgery, you are in pain however after that it is bearable. I had pain killers prescribed so I didn’t really feel much pain on wards. It’s just mainly discomfort from swelling.

ID Hospital: Is it hard to recognize yourself in the mirror?
Kitiana: No I think they did a good job with keeping the features that make you, you. Without changing so much to the point that you can’t recognize yourself.

ID Hospital: How was your healing process? Did you have any challenges?
Kitiana: I came to Korea by myself, because no one could take the time off work to come with me. I will have to say that I recommend bringing someone with you along so you aren’t alone. But if you do end up coming alone, it is still bearable. The first 3 days after surgery I would say is the most difficult. However, the hospital staff really took good care of me. After the surgery, I felt very nauseated because of the anesthesia, but when I informed the staff, they allowed me to stay another night at the hospital and showed me ways to get rid of the nauseated feeling such as teaching me breathing exercise. The first week was difficult because I couldn’t really eat normal food; I mainly just had porridge and juice.

ID Hospital: Do you have any regrets?
Kitiana: No. Even though coming and being here alone was hard, I’m actually glad I did it because I think it’s good to have that sense of soul searching and have that independence of doing something I’ve always wanted to do. I have no regrets and I’m very happy with everything.

How do you feel after having all the surgeries? Are you satisfied with the results?

Kitiana: I am more than satisfied. The way they did the surgery was very tasteful. I got just the right amount of feminine touch that I needed. I really love it.

Do you look like what you had imagined you’d look like after the surgery?
Kitiana: The first three days NO! HAHA I looked like a chipmunk. But once the swelling started to go down I started seeing the results and even till now I can see more changes day by day!
