We have received many questions from our patients regarding MERS in South Korea. We understand the concern of many people, who are seeing news regarding MERS on the internet and on TV, and wanted to address the issue to alleviate your worries.

Several places, mainly hospitals, have been identified as the spots where people came into contact with those affected by MERS. Those individuals have been identified and either quarantined or admitted to the hospital and released if the tests come out negative. Everywhere, people are being more diligent and aware of sanitization, whether it be via frequent handwashing and using sanitizer as well as wearing masks when feeling unwell to prevent others from germs that may be spread through coughing or sneezing. Hand sanitizer is available everywhere for your use, even on Seoul's buses and trains.

The facilities are cleaned and sanitized to ensure the safest surgery environment.
