***Daily life***

My nose blocking became all fine after 9 days post surgery!
People said I just need to wait for 10 days for this.. and it was true.
I didn't wake up even once from 10pm to 7am for 9 hours~~WOW

Since the surgery, I became kind of 'A morning-person'. I've been very lazy since I had a semester off from my university. But after surgery, I've been going to the bed early and waking up early to go for a walk and do the light exercise.

However, as my body condition becomes better and better, I've become feeling bored and wanted to find something else to do.
So I decided to start studying at the library, as my occupation is a student. I've been studying a bit and reading some novels sometimes and doing the exercise on the way home.

I brought purified water to gargle in the 500ml sized water bottle, tissue, wet tissue, Otrivin and few paper cups.
Now I've moved to another library closer to my house and been studying very hard! As I can't speak properly due to tied-mouth, my friend was helping me communicate with the staff when I register at first..haha

But now I'm able to speak a bit better! The problems is only my sister understands me..LOL

Since the first check-up, I've been very looking forward to having the next check-up!

And.. finally 2nd check-up day!

I went to ID aesthetic to get a second massage-care session for the swelling reduce. I had a lymph massage on my first visit. But this time I had a soft vibration ultrasound massage.
After I had an infrared light treatment and had a gypsum pack. The whole care took about 40 minutes.
And then I went to the treatment room and I got a compliment from a nurse. She said I've been using mouth-wash properly. haha
My stitches were removed before my doctor came in. I was told my upper and lower lips would be hurt and i had no feelings around my upper lip at first but... when they did my lower lip, I almost cried because of severe pain..;(

My surgeon said that I don't have much swelling and he checked inside of my mouth. He's really nice all the time... haha
The rubber bands are gone but I felt quite weird without them all of sudden. Finally I'm able to wash my teeth.. I was told that I have to focus on mouth exercise from now on, so that I can open my mouth normally.

I've learned how to replace the rubber bands, when I eat and brush my teeth. I had few screws in my gums and it was too closes with the incision on lower lip and it hurts a lot.. I had hard times of replacing the rubber bands.

And I was told I will be keep wearing the wafer mold until I start post-orthodontic treatment, because I had an additional procedure that widens upper jaw..*sigh*

My wafer must be really dirty.. i'm worried that my teeth will rot because of this.

*** Meals ***

Because I had my mouth tied, I've been consuming liquids only...
I think I've tried all kinds of breads in the supermarket near my house haha.
Chocolate, cheesecake, strawberry, apple etc, all the the flavors. As a result, I didn't lose any weight ever since the surgery... I think it's all because of breads. OMG

I usually mix half of bread and milk (200ml) and drink them and it tastes quite...good.
I shredded all breads even if it had a lot of cream inside.
It's not really thick and very easy to drink even without filtering! The bread melts easily with the milk.

Tomato was good after the filtering and I didn't really like the shredded apple.. I liked Banana at first but I fed up with it quickly.

I also tried all types of soups! 'Bono soup' was tasty but it is kind of expensive and I became sick of it soon after having it few times. LOL

*** Sensation, swelling and other issues****

My right side jaw was making some clicking sounds especially when I swallow my saliva ever since the next day of surgery.
When it got worse, it was bothering me a lot for whole day. I realized there are some other people having this same symptoms. But as my mouth became free, this problem has disappeared shortly.

I couldn't feel anything on my chin, upper mouth (inside) and upper gum at first. Now some sensation came back on my chin a bit, but still I can't feel anything on upper mouth and gum. It feels quite weird when I brush my teeth.
I've heard the sensation on upper mouth will become normal at last, so I guess I just need to wait.

And my jawline was quite bumpy at first, but it is slowly becoming smoother. I've heard I will have the slim jaw line after 6 months to 1 year from surgery.

I'm not so sure about the swelling, because I see my face in the mirror everyday. And in the photos, my face looks all different, depending on the camera angles.
I think the swelling is reducing slowly everyday.

I don't wear mask anymore when I go outside after the second check-up. I don't think i care. haha  And not trying really hard to lose swelling, because I know the time is the best method.
Now I'm trying to focus more on other things such as studying and self-developments, so that time goes by quickly.
I normally have very positive attitude, so don't really care about swelling and other minor symptoms.

I want to say 'cheer up!' for everyone who had this surgery!!! I'll come back next week with more photos.

Thank you!!

To be continued...
