Rhinoplasty is a surgery that many people undergo
along with eyelid surgery. As the number of
people undergoing rhinoplasty increases, various rumors have been made also; and the most widely known one is ‘Second touch-up is always needed once the nose has been touched’.
This rumor was spread due to one of the possible side effects from rhinoplasty, called ‘Capsular Contracture’. It happens when the nose changes its shape by the inner-implants. However, Dr. Chi Young Bang from ID Hospital states
that this could be prevented by using different implants for the
tip and bridge of the nose.
