 Our Patients Favorite K-pop Destinations


Many of the patients who come to ID Hospital became interested in plastic surgery after first falling in love with K-pop. Along with the addictive beat and melody of Korean pop music, Korean pop stars, with their beautiful small faces and bright smiles, have looks that are envied by fans all over the world. When visiting Korea, many patients also list going to a music show, visiting a famous entertainment company building or going to the businesses owned by K-pop stars themselves as a must on their to-do list along with visiting famous landmarks like Namsan Tower and Kyungbok Palace. Today we will share with you a few of our patients favorite K-pop related places! ^^


 

 
 

 
JYJ Jaejoong J Holic Café
 

JYJ member Jaejoong has his namesake café J Holic located in the popular tourist district of Myungdong. The brightly decorated space boasts the stars personal touch from selected artwork made by fans to his signature on a vinyl bag which is given to hold the receipt. Various souvenirs including tumblers, mugs, pillows and diaries are available for purchase, which will come in a shopping bag with his signature as well.


 

 

 
Super Junior Yesung Mouse Rabbit
 

A well-known establishment in the area around Kunkuk University is Super Junior member Yesung’s café Mouse Rabbit. The café is whimsical and sweet, a place where you can spend hours poring over fashion and trend magazines provided for viewing or taking photos with friends with the adorable décor as a backdrop. The singer himself can be seen at the café at times too, taking orders behind the counter and chatting with fans that come to visit.

 




 
Super Junior Kyuhyun MOM House
 

Recently opened in Myungdong is Super Junior member Kyuhyun’s café and guesthouse MOM House. As a member of a group known for its influence on Hallyu, or the Korean wave, the guesthouse is a place where people from all over the world can come together to share their love of Korean culture. Kyuhyun’s mom can oft be seen at the café taking pictures with starstruck fans. Fans gifts to the member are also displayed throughout the café. Rooms at MOM House start at 30,000 KRW per person for a dormitory room and go up to 198,000 for a 5 person suite.

 



 

 
SMTOWN Artium

 

As one of the company’s at the forefront of the international K-pop phenomenon, SM Entertainment has recently opened the doors to one of their grandest spaces, SM ARTIUM at the newly renovated COEX Mall in Samsung-dong. Artium is a cultural space where fans can come to see exhibits of their favorite singers, buy star merchandise, sit at a café eating cakes and ice-creams that come in different flavors according to artist name, and even watch 3D movies featuring select SM Artists. As SM Entertainment currently houses some of the hottest names in K-pop including EXO, TVXQ and Girls Generation, expect long wait times as only a certain number of people are admitted at a time!

 

 

 
 
Leessang Pocha Center
 
 

Leessang funnymen Gary and Gil have a restaurant in super-trendy Garosugil, which is extra great because it’s close to our hospital! Featuring different kinds of Korean food (spicy stews, stir fried dishes, fusion dishes) and drink perfect for a night out with friends, Pocha Center is definitely a place you will want to visit! Warning: late nights and weekends are pretty packed.
 




 

 
Infinite Dong Woo Inchang Octopus

 

If you decide to have a day trip out of Seoul and decide that spicy octopus stir-fry is just what your belly needs, then Infinite member Dong Woo’s family restaurant Inchang Octopus is for you! The menu is simple, with stir fried octopus and pork the main entrée (be sure to make fried rice after) and you can look around at the various posters and gifts Dong Woo’s fans have left him.
