We wanted to take the time and share with you the many ways in which ID Hospital strives to keep our patients safety as our number one priority. We understand that many of our patients especially those who visit us from other countries, are unfamiliar with Korean language and culture. Surgery is a very big step that can feel scary in a new environment and that is a feeling we empathize with. You are entrusting us with your care and we will do everything to keep you safe during your time with us.

ID Hospital’s founder Dr. Park Sang Hoon was the first to perform orthognathic (2-jaw) surgery professionally for cosmetic purposes, as this complex procedure was done only in University hospitals in the past. Having specialized in bone surgery, a skill honed by many years at one of Korea’s best hospitals, he wanted to create a place where research met innovation, and where new techniques for facial plastic surgery could be developed and introduced. Dr. Park has brought together a team of top maxillofacial plastic surgeons and anesthesiologists from the best university hospitals in Korea to ensure amazing results under the best care.

 

ID Hospital is one of very few plastic surgery clinics that is considered a hospital. What does this mean and why is it important? In order to be classified as a hospital, specific guidelines and high-cost measures have to be put into place. This investment, which includes fireproof rooms, self-generating power systems and 3-D CT scans for precise diagnosis, as well as nurses and staff on-duty 24 hours a day, ensures maximum patient safety.

 

ID Hospital also has a diagnostics lab in our building to accurately run tests such as blood tests and liver function tests to determine whether a patient is ready for surgery. We also run tests to make sure that skeletal growth has stopped as any bone surgery is dangerous when full maturation has not yet occurred. ID Hospital doctors will NOT perform surgery if they believe the patient is not in full and complete health. Your health and safety is our number one priority.
